Fixes

October 20265 releases

  1. One scroll bar when making a video on phones

    • FixedOpening a Billing link while logged out, like switching to yearly from an email, now takes you back to it after you log in instead of to the home screen.
    • FixedOn phones, the new video steps no longer show a second scroll bar when a notice or payment banner is at the top of the app.
  2. Fix any clip after your video is made

    • ImprovedEdit this section's script re-records only that section and keeps going if you leave the page, with a progress bar, and shows what it costs before you start.
    • ImprovedUploading your own video or photo for a long-form clip retries by itself when the connection drops, shows its progress, and says what went wrong if it can't finish.
    • ImprovedYour own video can be shorter than the clip it replaces: it plays a little slower or repeats, or it plays once and the next clip starts sooner.
    • ImprovedA video you upload to a long-form clip is saved as soon as you place it, and replacing another clip no longer undoes it.
    • ImprovedExport in the long-form editor says whether it uses credits before you start it.
    • FixedRegenerate audio in the long-form editor keeps your clip changes, uploads and footage start points instead of resetting them.
    • FixedBilling no longer offers to collect an old invoice for a plan that has already ended, so you can't pay for a period you no longer have.
  3. Top-up credits carry over when your plan renews

    • ImprovedCredits you top up now carry over when your plan renews or changes, your plan's own credits are used first, and Billing shows how many top-up credits you have.
    • NewAfter a long-form export, the export panel offers to link your YouTube channel on YouTube licences, so the music in your videos doesn't get flagged on YouTube.
    • ImprovedWhen an export doesn't finish, the editor and the export panel now say that no credits were used, so you can try again.
    • ImprovedWhen Faceless Shorts can't write your script and images, the editor now says so and tells you the credits were returned, instead of showing nothing.
    • FixedA Faceless Shorts generation that was interrupted no longer stays in progress, and its credits, including moving frames, come back on their own.
    • FixedTrying a stopped Faceless Shorts generation again no longer takes credits for moving frames twice, and if the new try fails its credits come back.
    • FixedSplit screen takes credits for new captions only once they are ready, so an attempt that fails costs nothing.
    • FixedCredits for a long-form video that was deleted while it was generating now come back.
    • FixedA Fake text export that fails now shows a plain message instead of a technical error.
    • NewEach clip in the long-form Media tab has an Edit menu with the Replace options, Timing and trim, Edit this section's script and Delete clip.
    • NewDelete clip removes a clip you don't want, and the clip next to it plays on through its time, so the narration never runs over a gap.
    • NewDrag the line between two clips on the long-form timeline to change when the next clip starts. It snaps to the start of a word, and the narration, captions and graphics stay where they are.
    • NewTiming and trim sets when a long-form clip starts, how long it plays and where its footage starts, so it lines up with what is being said.
    • NewUndo and Redo in the long-form Media tab (or Ctrl+Z and Cmd+Z) take back clip edits, and a section you re-recorded with Edit script can be undone too.
  4. A welcome back for returning creators

    • NewIf you had a plan before, the app and the Billing page now welcome you back with your videos, what is new since you left and your earlier plan ready to pick up again.
    • ImprovedEvery plan on the pricing page and in the plan picker now leads with its AI video models, so you can see at a glance that Plus and Pro add Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.5, Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro and HD images.
    • ImprovedChoosing a plan on the Billing page now uses the same short list as the app, with each plan's video minutes and what it includes on one line.
    • ImprovedYearly plans in the plan picker, on the pricing page and in Change plan now show what they cost per month and how much a year saves.
    • ImprovedIf you pay monthly, the app can now point you to yearly billing once you are settled in, and you can hide the note for two weeks.
    • FixedThe Billing page no longer flashes loading placeholders when you switch back to its tab.
  5. Change voice and Regenerate audio show their progress

    • NewIn AI assistants that show apps, videos made with the Vid.AI MCP server appear as a player with Download, Copy link and Open in editor buttons, and a progress bar while they render.
    • ImprovedChange voice in the long-form editor now shows a progress bar, the step it is on and about how long it takes, and it keeps going if you reload or leave the page.
    • ImprovedRegenerate audio in the long-form editor shows the same progress bar and steps, keeps going if you reload or leave the page, and tells you if it can't finish and returns your credits.
    • ImprovedThe pricing page and the plan picker now list what each plan includes, like the Premium cinematic intro, premium video models and HD images on Plus and Pro.
    • ImprovedVideo options your plan doesn't include now say which plan has them, next to an Upgrade link.
    • ImprovedThe home page, pricing and the app download less on every visit, so they open faster on phones and slower connections.
    • ImprovedMy videos shows your videos a moment sooner when it opens.
    • ImprovedVideos made with the Vid.AI MCP server now stream faster, so they start sooner and buffer less.
    • ImprovedThe long-form editor preview plays lighter copies of your video clips, so it stutters less and jumps to a new spot faster. Exports still use the full-quality clips.
    • FixedChanging the voice of a long video no longer looks like nothing happened. The new voice plays in the preview when it is ready, and if it can't finish you see why and your credits are returned.

September 202620 releases

  1. Find any video in My videos

    • NewA new narrator, Tyler, with a smooth and clear voice, replaces Bill in every voice picker, and videos already made with Bill keep his voice.
    • NewMy videos has a search box that finds any of your videos by its name or by what it is about, not just the ones already loaded.
    • NewThe Shorts tab in My videos can show only Faceless Shorts, Fake text or Split screen videos, and the filter works together with search.
    • ImprovedShorts, Fake text and Split screen videos are now named after what they are about once their content is made, as long-form videos are. A name you choose yourself is never changed.
    • ImprovedIn long-form videos with a cinematic intro, captions now show over the intro from the first spoken word, in your caption style and position, in the editor preview and the export.
    • ImprovedBefore a long-form video starts, the credit line shows the total for the video and what is charged now for the script and later for the video.
    • ImprovedThe credit summary next to Generate video in long-form videos opens above the bar, so the button stays where it is.
    • ImprovedEmails from Vid.AI, including sign-in links, video ready notices and billing notices, now share one clean design that reads well on phones and in dark mode.
    • ImprovedThe long-form editor preview plays long videos more smoothly, and jumping to a later point in a long video starts playing sooner.
    • FixedLong-form narrations keep the same voice from start to finish, including sections you edit later.
    • FixedIn Fake text, AI-written chats that name the people now give each person their own side and voice, and a message with no side is flagged before rendering instead of being read in the other person's voice.
    • FixedYour plan now has the same name in the sidebar, Billing and Usage.
    • FixedThe Image option for each message in the Fake text editor is no longer cut off.
    • FixedIn the long-form Media tab, each graphic is now listed on the clip it plays over, instead of sometimes showing two graphics on one clip, and each clip's own time always stays visible.
  2. Choose the AI video model

    • NewMoving frames in Shorts, and moving images and the cinematic intro in long-form videos, let you choose the AI video model, with its credits and extra generation time shown before you generate.
    • NewLong-form videos have one Graphics setting for everything drawn over your footage: animated numbers, charts, maps, diagrams and chapter titles, with Fewer, Balanced or More.
    • NewIn the long-form Graphics tab you can add a graphic at the playhead from 19 animated templates with a live preview, and edit its text, timing and template, hide it or delete it.
    • ImprovedIn long-form videos with a cinematic intro, chapter titles and motion graphics now start right after the intro instead of being hidden behind it, and no AI images are made for the seconds the intro covers.
    • ImprovedIn new long-form videos, the editor preview starts the cinematic intro and moving images sooner, and the intro no longer stutters on slower connections.
    • ImprovedOlder long-form videos keep their scene cards as they are, and can switch to the new graphics from the Graphics tab.
    • FixedLong-form graphics now show the same times in the Graphics tab, the Media tab and the timeline as they play in the video, in every language, and graphics you add yourself appear in the video when motion graphics are on.
  3. Long-form exports match the editor preview

    • NewIf a subscription payment doesn't go through, a notice in the app and on the Billing page shows how long your plan and credits stay active, and Update card takes you straight to where you can change it.
    • ImprovedMotion graphics in long-form videos are better centred, stay clear of your captions and play on their own calm animated backgrounds, and quote cards show up more often when the narration has a line worth quoting.
    • FixedLong-form narration now starts at full volume instead of fading in, so the first words are clear. Background music still fades in and out.
    • FixedThe editors no longer stop with "Something went wrong" when the browser translates the page.
    • FixedMotion graphics in a long-form export now match the ones the editor preview shows.
    • FixedTimestamps in the long-form editor now account for the cinematic intro: it's listed first in Media and shown on the timeline, and each clip shows when it's actually seen.
    • FixedMusic and clips in the long-form preview no longer go silent or freeze after you play a track in the Music tab.
  4. Videos in six languages

    • NewLong-form videos and Faceless Shorts can be made in Spanish, Portuguese, French, German or Italian as well as English: pick a language and the script, narration, captions and motion graphics all use it.
    • ImprovedThe dashboard, editors, settings and profile pages load faster, especially on slower connections.
    • ImprovedThe AI image style pickers in long-form videos and Faceless Shorts show new, sharper example images, so it's easier to see how each style looks.
    • ImprovedPaste a long-form script in one of these languages and the Language picker selects it for you.
    • ImprovedThe Script & voice button in the long-form editor is highlighted, and each option says what it changes, so it's easy to fix a line or swap the narrator after your video is made.
    • Improved"Email me when it's ready" is now off until you turn it on, and it's for your final export, so you only get the emails you ask for.
    • ImprovedThe homepage shows what Vid.AI 2.0 makes: cinematic intro clips you can hover to see bigger, narrator samples you can play, and new art style examples.
    • ImprovedFake text opens straight into the editor with a name already picked for your project, and you can rename it any time.
    • ImprovedConnecting Claude, ChatGPT or another app to your Vid.AI account now shows which app is asking and where it sends you, and only connects when you choose Allow.
    • FixedIf a long-form video is interrupted while it generates, it now unlocks and returns its credits within about 15 minutes instead of hours, even if you have closed the page, so you can try again.
    • FixedIf a login link can't be sent, the login page now says so right away, so you can try again or continue with Google instead of waiting for an email.
    • FixedThe video idea you type on the homepage is kept through sign-up and checkout, so it's waiting in the editor when you start.
    • FixedThe Script & voice and Regenerate audio buttons in the long-form editor move to their own line on narrower screens instead of being cut off.
    • FixedWhen a long-form video can't be generated, the message now says its credits were returned so you can try again, and a failed project start no longer shows a technical error.
  5. Hindi videos with Hinglish captions

    • NewLong-form videos and Faceless Shorts can be made in Hindi: the narration is in Hindi and the captions are in Hinglish (Hindi in Roman letters). Paste a script written in Hindi and Hindi is picked for you.
    • ImprovedThe pricing page and the plan picker now open on monthly billing, with yearly one click away.
  6. A calmer way to create long-form videos

    • NewLong-form video has a calmer create flow: a start page for your topic, narrator and length, then your script, then a Style and upgrades page before you generate.
    • NewVideos you make from Claude and ChatGPT can now use every Vid.AI option, including custom voices, the Natural voice, avatars and the new upgrades, and your assistant shows the credit cost before anything is charged.
    • NewAfter a long-form video is generated, the Script & voice menu lets you change the voice or rewrite a single section, and shows the credit cost before you confirm.
    • ImprovedThe start page shows a shortlist of narrators you can preview in place, with the full voice library one click away.
    • ImprovedYour custom voices appear first in the narrator list, and Add your voice sits right next to it.
    • ImprovedLong-form settings are grouped into clear cards, with motion graphics, scenes and chapter titles together under Graphics.
    • ImprovedCinematic intro, HD images and Moving images each explain what they add to your video.
    • ImprovedCinematic intros and moving images tell you they add a few minutes to generation.
    • ImprovedHover over an AI image style, or press and hold it on a phone, to see a large preview before you choose.
    • ImprovedMotion graphics are on by default for new long-form videos.
    • ImprovedThe script box is taller, can be dragged bigger, and shows the word count and estimated length.
    • ImprovedVisual direction has clearer examples and is asked once, on the start page.
    • ImprovedOn the script step, click a section's title or text to start editing it right there.
  7. Vid.AI 2.0: motion graphics, cinematic intros and moving images

    • NewLong-form videos can add motion graphics: calm, story-aware animations for key facts, numbers and places, included at no extra credit cost.
    • NewLong-form videos can open with a cinematic intro: a 5 second AI video that fades into your first scene, with a Premium option on Plus and Pro.
    • NewLong-form AI images can become short moving clips with Moving images.
    • NewHD images makes every AI image in a long-form video sharper and more detailed, on Plus and Pro.
    • NewFaceless Shorts can animate the first scene or every scene with Moving frames.
    • NewTurn on "Email me when it's ready" while your video renders, close the tab, and we'll email you the link.
    • ImprovedStock footage matches your script more closely, and long scenes get extra clips instead of holding one shot.
    • ImprovedPeople in AI images keep the same look from scene to scene.
    • ImprovedExport progress now follows you around Vid.AI, and you can hide it to a small pill and bring it back.
    • ImprovedWhen Vid.AI is updated while you have it open, a banner asks you to refresh so you're always on the latest version.
    • FixedThe Moving frames scene choice and other Faceless Shorts settings stay on one line.
  8. Visual direction, your own music and new voices

    • NewLong-form videos have an optional Visual direction field, so you can guide the stock footage and AI images separately from your script, for example to only show women.
    • NewFaceless shorts that use AI images have the same optional Visual direction field, and every image follows it.
    • NewLong-form video lets you upload your own background music (MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC or OGG, up to 25 MB and 15 minutes) from the Music tab. Silence at the start and end is trimmed, the volume is evened out, and short tracks loop smoothly under the whole video.
    • FixedWatching the long-form preview at 1.5x or 2x keeps the narrator's natural voice instead of raising the pitch.
    • NewLong-form video can narrate with a custom voice: paste its voice link or ID once and it stays saved in your account.
    • NewFaceless Shorts can narrate with your saved custom voices, and you can add a new one from the narrator list.
    • NewLong-form video lets you choose the voice engine: Classic, or Natural, a newer voice model with a more human delivery. Video length and credits follow the voice's real pace.
    • ImprovedThe voice engine picker and the video summary show which voice engine narrates your video.
    • ImprovedClearer narration in Faceless Shorts and Fake Text: voiceovers are now recorded at full quality instead of a compressed low-bitrate version.
    • ImprovedLong-form exports carry higher-quality audio.
    • FixedThe long-form video preview plays with sound from the start instead of starting muted.
  9. Script downloads, a smoother preview and Vid.AI

    • NewDownload your script as a text file from Long-form video (Export menu) and Faceless shorts.
    • FixedThe Long-form editor preview no longer freezes or keeps reloading on some clips.
    • FixedOpening a project that no longer exists now shows "Project not found" instead of a broken editor.
    • FixedThe credit estimate for a pasted script in Long-form video now matches what the video uses.
    • ImprovedThe low-credits warning now matches the size of your plan.
    • ImprovedFake Text chats are capped at 150 messages and 5,000 characters.
    • ImprovedThe Short-form videos page leads with Faceless Shorts, explains each format in a line, and fits every format on one phone screen.
    • ImprovedMy videos has a New video button, clearer labels for drafts and videos that aren't exported yet, and shows which tool made each short.
    • ImprovedVidAI is now written Vid.AI everywhere, to match our web address.
    • FixedCreating a long-form video from a prompt no longer fails with a server error when the script comes back empty: it retries on its own, and if that fails too you're asked to try again with no credits used.
  10. Longer videos and smoother credit top-ups

    • ImprovedLong-form videos can now be up to 20 minutes on every paid plan.
    • ImprovedWhen you're short on credits, Vid.AI shows exactly how many you need and lets you top up or choose a plan right away.

    • FixedScript and scene generation retry automatically when the service is briefly busy.
    • FixedThe built-in Animated Avatars have cleaned-up artwork, so mouths open when they talk, arms and hands line up, and gestures no longer get cut off.
